‘I try to vibe Afro-centric…’- Gerald Okereafor

Can we meet Gerald?

Yes of course, I am Gerald okereafor a fashion style blogger at www.geraldokereafor.com

Out of all thprofessions in the world, why did you choose fashion?

Personally I am an avid lover of art. Fashion in itself is an expression of art, it brings ones personality to the fore front even without a statement, and for sure if there is any means to air my views, thoughts and expression so as to add value to the society, it definitely had to be fashion, which I have a natural flair for.

What are the services you offer?

I specifically deal with men’s fashion, and as it stands currently, I blog on several fashion trends and promote fashion brands through collaborations.

How and when did it start?

To be honest everything started back then in secondary school though I was a bit constrained but any time I had the opportunity to mix wears appropriately for outings with a few friends, I always had the aim of looking distinct at the back of my mind. But fast forward a few years, and currently am blogging all just to share my views and let people know what I think about fashion as an art is all about.

How does being African inspire your fashion and how you dress, style people?

Being African goes a long way to form the core of my dress sense, as I always love to integrate some African vibes into every of my outfit expressing the cultures and sub-cultures of the much neglected African society. From the fabric to sometimes the accessories, I try to vibe Afrocentric. In sum being African alone is a unique selling point.

How much awards, jobs, accolades and offers have you received in the last nine months?

As great as God has largely played 100% in the ephemeral successes, so far I have won one (1) award for blogger of the year, collaborated with a few brands as well as gotten pays for promotions via blog platform.

What’s your next project like?

Okay, my next project is basically centred on solving issues most individuals (men) have when it comes to combining (mixing and matching) prints- especially African fabric, as well as also dishing out several unconventional but contemporary looks.

How can we contact you?

You can reach me (Gerald) via these social media platforms- Twitter, Instagram and snapchat (@gokereafor)or you could still stay plugged on to my blog www.geraldokereafor.com
