For so many centuries the idea and concept of the true meaning of literature was mainly Eurocentric, the African perspective was neglected and in some cases disregarded even, however today this is not the case as African writers have scaled through different levels of criticism to stand shoulder to shoulder with other legendary writers. These individuals have distinguished themselves from the many and have brilliantly and successfully launched the African perspective into the spotlight, providing a better narrative for our great continent.
